Automated technology has received some bad reputation over the past couple of years. We are told to be afraid that technology may replace us one day, and take over our lives and jobs.
Unfortunately, that day will come, in fact it was always here. Throughout human history, inventions like Gutenberg’s printing press and the railroad have all replaced some sort of human labour.
Yet we are still here, better than ever. It is not like we are afraid of our printers taking the jobs of our hands – for writing. Our hands work together with type-writers, computers and printers to create projects.
Auto-MATE helps Melbourne envision this reality. Offering free community orientated services around The City of Port Phillip, we hope to harness a mutual cooperation between automated machines and society for a better, more productive future!

Primary School Assistance
Integrated into the Albert Park Primary. Robots will work with staff members to assist them in they daily jobs.
Logistical customer service robots, like these, will assist the staff with relocating teaching resources. Instead of having to manually move everything, and risk injury, these automated process improves quality of life.
Customer service robots are reprogrammed to assist students with general enquires and basic social interaction – to help them familise with technology.
